Designed by Leonard Charles Wyon and George William de Saulles, the 2,000,000 one cent coins produced by the Royal Mint for the year 1896 features the bust of queen Victoria wearing a diadem in her hair with beaded circle and on the reverse, a serpentine motif of 16 maple leaves with a beaded circle.
This copper coin is in excellent condition. Measuring 25.4mm in diameter, this is a great piece of Canada's history to add to your collection.
