Beautifully ornate porcelain trinket or jewellery box by Le Tallec of Paris, France. Featuring a floral spray pattern in pale pink, purple, blue, orange and red amid a gold gilt paisley border. The center of the lid backdrop is a pearlescent white while robin's egg blue fills the raised gold gilt border. The lid is held closed by an eight petalled floral clasp in gold gilt. When opened, there is a pale pink rose painted inside the lid and bowl.
It is yet to be determined the manufacturing date, but the markings are clear on the base of the bowl and possibly represent 1971. Attelier Le Tallec produced porcelain in Paris, France from 1930-2014.
Measuring approximately 3-1/4" in diameter closed and 2-5/8" at the opening, this piece is in very good condition with a couple of superficial cracks in the lid as can be seen in the pictures.
