Rush Seat Ladder Back Shaker Style Rocking Chair
Rush Seat Ladder Back Shaker Style Rocking Chair
Share
Circa 1860, this rush seat ladder back shaker style rocker found in Quebec is a great solid piece of antique furniture. The rocking chair is in good condition considering its age other than some fraying of the seat as shown in the pictures.
Possibly constructed of pine, the wood is painted black with some red accents on the stretchers. The rockers have been reinforced with screws and may have been replaced at some point in time.
Measures 39-1/2" high with a 17" high seat and 18-1/2" at the widest point by 29" deep.
A beautiful piece despite it's flaws, this one is a keeper!
